Flood –
and the sky did cry
let all her tears down
‘til the water goes knee deep
murky teeming with dirt

España –
the busy street in Manila
where traffic always slows down
students and workers go by
to get their life around

Oh, that event of the year
when classes are abruptly suspended
yet students find it annoying
trapped in the middle of the lake.

salamat sa'yong walang pakundungang patak
ngunit balewala, sakit ng ulo ang humalili

pati ba naman sa Naga nakuha mo pang magpakita
sumuksok na lang ako sa mga dampa
nang di mo maabutan

kung bakit ba naman ako'y pinahihirapan
maglakad man o tumakbo nakabuntot pa rin
kaya sa bahay, basang-basa ako nakarating.
